Simple Vintage - Direct to Paper Ink Technique

Using embossing and the Direct to Paper Ink Technique,
we dressed up a simple card.
Card base Crumb Cake 5.5" x 8.5"
Score at 5.5"
Top layer Crumb Cake 4" x 5.25"
Emboss with either Lacy Brocade (used here) or Vintage Wallpaper folder.
Direct to Paper Ink Technique:
Lightly drag open ink pad (Soft Suede) over embossed cardstock until entire piece is covered with some ink.  It should look slightly distressed.  Attach to card base.
Cut an opening through both layers with the Window Frame Collection Framelits.
Cut out the greeting (Friendship Preserves used here.) with the Window Frame Collection Framelits.  Layer on a Soft Suede 1 3/4" circle.  Attach this through the window opening with Dimensionals.
Another variation:  Cut the opening only in the 4" x 5.25" embossed layer.  Attach this layer to card front with Dimensionals.  Attach Soft Suede 1 3/4" circle with greeting through the window opening with Dimensionals.  You can tie a ribbon around the front panel.
The Dimensionals create a shadow box effect with the front layer.
Happy stamping!
