Petal Palette

Another card I cased from a swap.
My friend Carolee made the original.

The designer paper is sponged or brayered with ink over the black design.
Carolee had a bow on her card too.

Lovely either way.

Tarnished Foil Technique

I have been wanting to try this technique forever.
There's a great how to video at Lisa's Stamping Spot here.

I used Copper Foil paper as my base.
I did the Black ink - silver emboss - gold emboss - black ink order as in the video.

My second card.  I like how they both turned out.

Heart Card - Sheet Music Background stamp

Another fun card for Valentine's Day.
That holiday is quickly coming up.

Sheet Music BG stamp - Die cut heart out of background piece before assembling card.
Very simple and quick.  Quick cards are nice, as most of my customers
come to evening classes.  They are pretty tired out by the time they get here.
Quick and cute are very popular!

Jar of Love

A cute shaker card for Valentine's Day.
I cased this idea from Kim Williams. She has many shaker card ideas here.
One of my customers asked to make one, so I added it to Stamp Buffet last month.
We used the retired Heart Confetti Border punch for the hearts inside the jar.
You can anything small for the shaker contents.
The dsp and ribbon are Sending Love Bundle, also retired.

Unicorn Cards

I cased these from Pinterest.  Nan at Silver Thimble Yarn and Quilt Shop,
where I like to go shop needed a card for her granddaughter.  I offered to make one
so I could make unicorn cards.  Her granddaughter is 5, and adores unicorns.

I drew the euelashes.  The curve for the id I did from a framelit shape.
Retired flower punches, and lots of ribbon.

This one uses the Fox punch.  I used the fox head for the body,
and trimmed the fox body, for the head.  They turned out so cute.

Why yes, I do believe in Unicorns.
If you do too, here is a Unicorn cookie recipe.

Painted with Love Designer Paper

I've been running around like the white rabbit in Alice in Wonderland.
I think I broke my watch, lol, things have been so crazy busy.
I am divesting myself of another direct sales company I've been with for the last year.
Not selling, so clearing my life.  I also have been working to clear out the basement
and crawl space.  Yucko, I hate that space.  Then Stamp Buffet week, and
I realized I hadn't uploaded any cards to share!  Yikes!

So the next few days, I'll post cards from card buffet.
I use bins with clips on the ends, so I just did photos of the cards in the clips.
At least I have photos!

This was a swap card I cased.
I love all the colors and the circles on the card.
This designer paper is drool worthy.  I used it on several cards lately.

Lovely, isn't it? I love the gold metallic touches!

This is what Stampin' Up! did with it.

Fun!

Well that spoils the Party!

Who's had that guest that it seems can't eat anything you made for the party?
Oh wait that guest would be me!  Gluten Free here.

This set was so fun and I used the Clear Facets Gems to "select" certain food issues.
I made this for a swap, so each card was different.  I stamped the four colors
for the words then mixed them up on the cards.

Basic Grey, W. White cs
Sale-A-Bration Bubbles and Fizz dsp free with a $50.00 order
Inks: Real Red, Bermuda Bay, Lemon Lime, Pumpkin Pie
Clear Facets Gems, Mini Dimensionals for the words
Classic Label Punch - Trim ends after punching.

Party Pandas -Sale-A-Bration Set- free with a $50 order
Petal Passion dsp
Black, Flirty Flamingo CS
Flirty Flamingo 3/8" striped Grosgrain Ribbon
Tear and Tape - I used this to attach the ribbon.  Place a strip of tape across your card front
using ribbon right from the roll, press the ribbon into the tape, as you go along,
 to get the ruffled effect.

No stamping, just fun stuff!

This was my new decor item this year.  All my outside decor really was sad looking.
This was so easy, I zip tied 3 wreaths together to make the body.
I had the Santa hat that I stitched onto the wreath, (So it didn't blow away!)
a length of fleece for a scarf, and some snowflake ornaments,
that I wired into the wreaths.

Mickey loves being outside.  You'd think he was part St. Bernard.
I had to make him a outfit with boots to protect his foot pads.

This zero and below weather is the pits.

On being an elf.

No not Elf on the Shelf, but where I was able to help out.
My friend Sara is a teacher and they needed things for the Santa shop at her school.
Over one weekend before Christmas, I made 76 hats, 39 calendars, 24 snowman cocoa treat bags
(forgot pictures) and much more.

They are just the 15 minute fleece hats.
Quick and cute!  Sizes from Newborn to XL.

So if you are local to me, and have fleece you won't be using, even scraps,
and would like to donate to a good cause, I'll take it!
I am going to start sewing for next year come January.
I have other patterns that take longer to sew with ear flaps and brims and all.
I even have a pattern for a cute fleece purse in the shape of a frog, bear,
and a duck for little kids.  I like to make things, actually I love to make things.
So I am making the year 2018 the year to sew lots fo things to donate to good causes.

Added 1-3-18
I've had several requests for where I got the pattern.  I didn't find a written one I worked from a picture and some comments.  Here is what I did.

For an adult large hat:
Fleece 1 yard can make 4
long 1/2" scrap of fleece to tie top
thread to match
sewing machine - There are techniques out there to make these without a sewing machine.  Check Pinterest.
Good cutting scissors

1. Cut fleece 16 x 23"
(To figure size for anyone, measure around head where hat would cover their ears.add 2" and that is your width.  13" - 16" for hat height.  If too tall for someone, retie fringe end lower on hat.  Trim so it's a pom pom rather than flopping over.)
2. Fold in half on 23" length.  Zig Zag or stretch stitch up the 16" side.
3. Fold one end up 2"  Sew straight stitch 1/4" - 1/2" from edge around brim.
4. On other end cut !/2" strips 2  2.5" deep.
5. Gather this end and tie tightly with a 1/2" long scrap of fleece,
or even matching fat yarn.
15 minutes you should be done!

Stamparatus - Last day to register to order one is December 30th.

I used it today!  It is the best tool in the stamping world.  :)
Why do I have one already?  Since they can't be gotten until February, at the earliest for some?

Sue says it best.
Sue Arthur posted in Demonstrator Party Planning thread on FB about L2L
● There was a group put together several YEARS AGO by Stampin' Up! They asked for volunteers
to work on upcoming projects. The group that they created was called Leader 2 Leader (L2L
The members of this group have literally spend hours on reviews, questionares etc on products,
 events, catalogs.
Some of this group helped develop the Stamparatus (no they could not share what they were
working on and would have signed confidentiality agreements)
As a THANK YOU for all their work, which they have volunteered to do unpaid.
Stampin' Up! sent enough Stamparatus units to each warehouse so that the L2L group could order theirs and get it shipped immediately. These were sent to warehouses from the first batch made.

So YES these people got a special code and could order theirs and get it first.
Given some of them have spent hours working on the development of this tool - it is only fair they
should get it first. They have know about it for a couple of years and worked on this project for just as long.

Here is the tool in use.  I used it with the 3 step Amazing Congratulations Stamp Set
from the new Occasion's book.  Which starts Jan 4th!

It has 2 plates the work from the side and the top.
They lift out of their hinge and can be flipped over.

Like shown here to have another stamp ready to use.

Here is the top plate brought down from above
to stamp the 3rd step, the outline, of the image.

Finished.  I did 13 of these in 30 minutes.
The longest part was lining up the stamps in the right place.

I used Washi tape I got in a bag of stuff from a friend
to outline the spot for the cardstock.  Because it was right next to me.
I also covered the 2 magnets with Washi tape and left flaps on the ends.
So glad I did that because they got too close to each other and snapped together.
They are super strong!!!
The Washi tape made it possible to slide them apart.

Finished card.

Love this designer paper.  It's called Painted with Love.
Also in the Occasion book.

Inside.

Stampin' Up! has a video you can watch
that tells you all about the new Stamparatus.

New stuff is so fun!
Happy stamping!

More Gift Card Holders

Any card can be a gift card.  Just by adding a pocket inside.
2 pocket styles shown below.  Some gals just left them as cards.  That works too.

Need a Last Minute Gift Card holder?

1. Inside Gingerbread Card

2. Inside Let It Snow Card
The one we did in class used a punch to create the spot for the gift card.
Mine is really bad!  lol  I stopped punching or there would be no cardstock to hold
the gift card in.  Here is a tutorial here with a different spin on the holder section.

3. Reindeer with card inside
This is cut 3" x 11"  Tear ad Tape holds it shut on the sides.
The top is cut with Lots of Labels Framelits.
Place strip through die and cut only one end.  Roll to cut
and roll back out same end of Big Shot.
Pretty Pines for Antlers, and bow
Retired Bird Punch, body trimmed for larger ears
Retired Small oval punch for nose
Cookie Cutter Punch for eyes -White Gel pen

4 is this super easy, so very fun card from my Upline's blog.
This card would work for any occasion!

If you didn't buy the snowflake dies like me.
I used an old perforater tool from SU.  (Three tools, folded up, black,
came on a key chain for traveling.  From years ago.)
There are sewing perforation tools too.
Used when tracing patterns, that could work for this too.
I laid the designer paper layer on the  Simply Scoring board
and slowing ran the tool up the 1/2" and 1" grooves.

Dragonfly Dreams

Not Christmas, but a great birthday card!
A quick, and cute card, Washi Tape, a die cut, and some Bakers Twine.
The greeting is on a separate piece of cardstock stamped, then glued down,
because as I lifted the block I dropped it back onto the card.
BUT! as I tell my customers, there is always a way to fix an booboo.

Happy stamping!
