Flourish Thinlits Dies - a quik and cute card.

Make this card:
Base card 8.5" x 5.5"  Pear Pizzazz
CS strip 1.25" x 5.5" Daffodil Delight
Cut 3 squares with the Stitched Shapes framelits dies  Blueberry Bushel New In Color
I used the leaf from the thinlits to cut 3 leaves. Pear Pizzazz
Save time and cut one square and one leaf at the same time.  Only 3 times through the Big Shot!
TIP: Attach your leaves to the squares BEFORE gluing them down. lol  Learn from my mistakes.
Trim excess leaf off edge of square.  Glue to card.
Stamp a greeting on Daffodil Delight  (retired Teeny Tiny Wishes here)
Punch out with Classic Label Punch.  Attach to card.

I rarely stamp right on the card front, it will always end up crooked.
I am setting up the Stampartus to stamp the greetings from now on.
More on that in a future post.

Enjoy Life Photopolymer Stamp Set

This is a lovely stamp set with so many wonderful images.
It was created by one of our million dollar winners, and is in honor of her children.

I love the shimmer ribbon.  It comes in several colors and adds a nice touch to a card.
The square inked area is done by inking up your clear block, spritzing it with water,
and pressing the block to the paper, like a stamp.
Card inspired by a card by Jeanne Moss

Reindeer . . . dashing through the snow . . . .

From the new Holiday Catalog that will be released in September.
These are one of the reindeer from the Detailed Deer Thinlits.
I'm creating swap cards and had these laying on my work surface.
I had to share!

I'll share the swap card after everyone has theirs back.
I don't want to spoil the surprise!

I can share this!
This is a prototype for a wedding invitation for this winter.
It will say, You're invited, on the little tag for the event.

To get a deer to face the other way cut from the back of the foil.

Cardstock of course, can just be flipped over!  It's 2 sided!

Happy stamping!

Lovely Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

This is such a fun card!
We embossed Whisper White, then using a dauber,
added Berry Burst ink to the raised areas.
It takes a steady hand but is worth the effort!

The strip of dsp is the back side of a sheet from Petal Promenade.

August Class Schedule and my little wheelbarrow

I've got my events posted on my demonstrator website.

I'd love to have you come to a class if you're close by.

*****

On a fun note, I bought this little wheel barrow at Williams Little Store in Omro
and planted it with Impatiens, Calendium, and Sage.

They look much better after week, and some rain.
I still need to put the bark in there.

I like this lemon lime Coleus I got too.  I stuck it in with my Begonias.

I put my sticker on my van.  :-)

I just got some corrugated tin to do some projects in the yard.
Once they get done, I'll share those too.

Happy stamping!

Sweet Treats - Matchbox Dreamsicles

These are the treats I made for class this month.
They are made with the retired matchbox die from Stampin' Up!.

I did find a matchbox pattern to print out.
In case you want to make your own and don't own the die.

The stick is glued on the back of the box that slides,
and I filled them with 3 mini Ghirardelli candy bars.

The cord tied around the stick is also retired.
I'm working on using some odds and ends up around here!

I did forget to put a sentiment on the front.
I was going to do something in an oval, but forgot.
Everyone loved them anyway!

Happy 4th!

What to do when you don't have anything current that looks like fireworks?
Use a 3 tine fork!

Press fork into stamp pad and then roll onto card with even pressure.
If you are stuck inside today with the kiddos in the heat,
this would be fun for them to do to create a banner or placemats for the day.
You could use ink pads or even acrylic paints.

On the bottom right, you can see I tried adding Pool Party to the fireworks.
It didn't look right.  I used Night of  Navy and Real Red.

The greeting is from the Climbing Orchid stamp set.

Here's nature's fireworks blooming in my flower bed.
Love these burgundy lilies.  Wish they lasted all summer long.

Designer Series Paper SALE!

Hi all!  I think I'm back.  Three crazy months are behind me.
Not going to rehash it all, but I survived it.  barely

First a bit about a card.
Petal Palette Stamp Set

Here is a card we did at a past event.  It is an easy way to get
the look of triple stamping, using designer paper for the stamped layers.

**************************
Supplies:
1 sheet of Marina Mist or color of your choice.
1 sheet of Designer Series Paper or a sheet of Whisper White stamped in design of your choice.  Memento Black Ink or color of your choice.
*****
The measurements, from top to bottom are:
Marina Mist card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2″.  Score at 4 1/4" fold in half.
Designer Series Paper layer or stamped Whisper White: 4 x 5 1/4″
Marina Mist layer: 3 1/4 x 4  1/2″
Designer Series Paper layer or stamped Whisper White: 3 x 4 1/4″
Marina Mist layer: 2 1/4 x 3 1/2″
Designer Series Paper layer or stamped Whisper White: 2 x 3 1/4″
Attach your layers starting with the card base and working upwards.  I decorated the last layer with ribbon, a greeting (I rounded the ends of the paper strip in a 1" Circle Punch.) and a die cut image of the bird.  Each Marina Mist layer is popped up with Dimensionals.
My customers loved it.  It was a quick and easy WOW card.
**************************
This is retired designer paper, as the event was in May, but you could stamp all over
a sheet of Whisper White then cut it to size for your card.or use something new!

All the new Designer Series Paper are on sale this month!
Buy 3 get one free!  Great sale!
