Tuesday Tip of the Week:
I feel everyone knows this one but recently I had a customer who said she'd never heard this tip before.
Stamping with Background Stamps:
When using a large background stamps place it face up on the table.
Press the ink pad to the stamp surface to ink it. You get better coverage with the ink this way.
Place your cardstock face down on the stamp surface,
cover with a sheet of scrap paper larger than stamp surface and press evenly all across the cardstock. You can also run a brayer across the surface to press the cardstock evenly onto the ink.
Another thing I've done lately is add a folded post it to the back of the cardstock. It makes it easier for me to lift it off the ink with my arthritis. I place it at an edge so I don't get the impression of the post it in my image.
Hmm, see I dropped it the first time trying to place it on the stamp.
Good thing there are 2 sides to SU's cardstock!
Well I didn't press very well across all the flowers,
but that is the charm of a handmade card. They aren't perfect!
It is easy to make a fun, fast, card with background stamps.
