Stampin' Addicts 2014 Occasions Catalog Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin' Addicts 2014 Occasions Catalog Blog Hop featuring items from the newest catalog from Stampin' Up!.  If you are following the Blog Hop in order, you arrived from Tina's blog where she features the stamp set, Language of Love.  I love how she used the vellum on her cards.

There are 16 stops on the hop and I am lucky #7. So if you are just beginning with my blog be sure and hop all the way around till you come back to my blog so you won't miss any of the awesome projects we have created to share with you.

I am featuring the stamp set Perfect Pennants.
My first card is a square card inspired by the Mojo Monday Challenge #326.
I really like the bright colors in the Retro Fresh Product Suite.
Perfect for these cold winter days.  Here I used the Retro Fresh Washi tape
to create a pattern on the neutral cardstock.

***
This card uses a fun background technique.  Using the Hardwood background stamp, and coloring with markers I created a look of worn paint layers.
The Chevron design on the banner was created with 2 scraps of dsp.

Inside view
I stamped the banner strips, cut them out,
and layered them over each other inside the card.

***
My 3D item is a Chevron Bag Gift Card Holder.
These have been all over the web and I love how
the Washi Tape blended into the color of the bag for a different tone.
I used the new Spiral Flower die to created the blossoms on the bag.
The leaves are the large oval punch folded in half
and embossed in the Woodgrain folder.

Two of the tags with stamping on them. They fit into the pocket
created by the open end of the bag. The tags were created with
the new Scalloped Tag Topper punch.
The third tag has a gift card attached to it.
It goes in the pocket created by folding the bag.

Thanks for visiting the hop!
Next up is Tanya, she'll be featuring projects with Baby, We've Grown
You'll be wowed by what she created!

Your projects are all so lovely! But I have to say the biggest thing for me was seeing the striped Washi tape folded over on itself and turning into a plaid!!!

KIM!!! I love your projects. Great colors! Favorites are the first card and the last project. The gift card sack is super, haven't seen one of those yet and will have to be sure and make one!

What a fabulous and pretty project!! Is that Washi Tape topping the tags? And they aren't sticking to things but are holding shape nicely? That's the cutest project ever, TFS!
