Easy Reindeer Treat holder - photo tutorial

Munching on turkey leftovers?  Shopping on Black Friday?
When you catch your breath,
here's a cute project to give you a jumpstart on the holidays.

Isn't he cute?  He is shown here with Reindeer Dust. I placed 2 Tablespoons of oatmeal and one of colored sugar in the cello bag.  I stopped adding glitter to the mixture, the year my son decided to eat it.  He was 3. The reindeer poem can be attached on a tag for a quick stocking stuffer.  He can also be a card, a gift card holder, or treat holder.  Just place candy in the cello bag instead of oatmeal.

Sprinkle on the lawn at night
The moon will make it sparkle bright
Santa’s reindeer fly and roam
This will guide them to your home

Supplies:
Soft Suede, Real Red, cardstock
Whisper White, Black cardstock scraps for circles
Silver and optional Red Glimmer Paper
Sticky strip Tape, Tombow Mono Multi Glue
Cello bag
Opt: Embossing Folder of your choice.  I used the Square Lattice folder.
Circle Punches
1/2", 1", 1 1/4"

How tos:
Cut Soft Suede cardstock 4.25" x 11
Score at 5.5"  Fold on score line.
Trim one half into a triangle for face.
Cut from each corner to center point at 2 1/8".
You can emboss the Soft Suede piece.  I kept it folded when I did this.

To attach the treat bag I attached a strip of sticky Strip along the top then attached the bag to this.  To make it easier to get at the treats, attach bag with opening at the bottom edge.

To decorate the face.
Attach a 1" x 4.25" Real Red strip along the folded edge with Sticky strip tape.
Attach another piece of tape to the front bottom edge of the Real Red piece.

Attach a 1" x 4.25" strip of Silver Glimmer Paper over the tape.
Add the eyes 1" white circles.  1/2" Black circles.

Add 1/2 of a 1" Soft Suede Circle for eyelids.
Trim the nose tip so it doesn't show below the red nose.

Attach the 1 1/4" Real Red nose.  The could also be Red Glimmer Paper.
Cut a 2" x 5.5" rectangle of Real Red.  cut it in half diagonally.
Attach sticky Strip tape to top edge.

Attach 1/8" from right hand edge.

Trim the end so it doesn't show below the circle.

Attach 1" Silver Glimmer Circle.

You can also add a pocket inside for a gift card.

Cut a 4.25" square.
Punch a 1/2 circle from top edge with the 1 1/4" Circle punch,
to make the gift card more accessible.
I used an oval punch but the circle looks better.
Attach bottom and sides with sticky Strip tape, align with bottom edge of card.

Happy stamping!
