12 weeks to an Easier Christmas - week 1

Let's make the holidays easier.  Make more time for family and friends.
I hope to help you with that over the next few weeks.

Do you like to give little treats?
Tuck a surprise in a lunch box?
Leave an elf gift on a co-workers desk?
Well this idea will help you do that, and it will be easier than ever!

I put together 3 treat ideas, though you'll have a dozen more uses for this cute kit!
Yes it's a kit!  Everything in one package ready to assemble.
The red striped piece is adhesive backed dsp.  It can be added on the tags,
on the bags or anywhere else you'd like to add a splash of holiday color.

The kit contains enough product to make 10 goodie bags:
die-cut tags (They match a framelit from Chalk Talk); die-cut banners;
stickers; Bermuda Bay Baker’s Twine.
Also includes 3" x 5" Cellophane Bags. Tag size: 1-5/8" x 2-1/2".

The stamp set I used with this idea is a 4 piece word set from the Holiday Catalog.
You could use any greetings on the tags.
Oh Goodie! Stamp Set

*****
Treat #1:  I used products in the kit and a 1" Bermuda Bay Circle.  I had the words
stamped in red and wanted to bring in the color in the Baker's Twine.
I attached 2 pieces of the adhesive strip so it went beyond the tag,
then trimmed them even with the edge of the tag.
Inside the bag are 2 small peppermint patties.  I attached a scallop circle to the front to make them more festive.  You could add a stamped image, or a smaller circle punched from dsp, on these too.

*****
Treat #2: I had to do reindeer poop!  The poem is below
if you'd like to make these for the naughty people on your list.
I had punched the poem out with a circle, it was too large so I trimmed it down.
I added the adhesive sticker strips horizontally.
You need to trim the opening if you cover it with the strips.
I layered the poem piece on a 1 3/4" x 1 1/4" rectangle of Bermuda Bay,
over a 1 1/2" Real Red circle.  I stamped the word in Bermuda Bay.

You’ve been naughty this year,
So, listen, here’s the scoop.
You’re getting nothing from me.
but this bag of reindeer poop!

*****
Treat #3:  This is a little more work.  It gives the bag a base so it sits better.

To make the box base.
1. I used the largest Window Frames Collection Die.  It was 5 1/2" across.
You could use any circle shape.
Adjust your score lines so your box base is at least 3/4" x 1 1/2".
2. Score at 1 3/4" on opposite sides.
3. Turn 90 degrees, score at 2" on each side.
4. Fold on all score lines.
5. Attach 3/4" pieces of sticky strip tape over 3 Xs.
6. Fold front and back sides up.  Fold center side flap up
and attach 2 short sides to flap over sticky strip tape.
Short sides will be to the inside of the box.

7. Attach ribbon, Washi tape, or other embellishment around the box.
This insures it stays together.  :)  I used a die cut piece from Tastefully Trim.
I attached it with sticky strip,  the end overlaps at the corner.  See picture.
8.  Fill treat bag with candy.  I used gumballs.  Tie shut with Baker's Twine.
Press into box onto sticky strip tape.

Now if you're going to do easier this year, you may want to pass on the box base idea.
