Make it Monday - Wedding Card

Here is a cute wedding card I have seen around the Internet.
The gals at the Hobby Lobby classes asked if we could make this one in a class.

Oops, bad stamping.  That's why this is the sample card.
If this happens in a card you are giving, just stamp on a 3.5" x 4" piece
of the same color cardstock as the inside of your card and glue over the bad stamped image.

Supplies:
white card base 5.5" x 8.5"
black cardstock 2 5/8" x 5 1/2"
scrap of white cardstock
4 inches of 1/2" Ribbon
Mini pearls
small Rhinestones
Boho Blossom punch
Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder
Big Shot, platform, and plates
Wedding sentiment stamp

How tos:
1. Cut white card base 5.5" x 8.5"
Score at 2" and 6 1/8" from right hand edge.

Bride:
2. Trim left 2 3/8" flap into dress shape.
Mark center point of indent at 1 5/8" in from edge and 1 1/4" down from top edge.
I suggest you play around with it on copy paper first.  You can even create a pattern this way.
If you are brave, you can cut down from each edge into center point.

3. Emboss the dress shape in the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.  Place just the dress inside the folder and run it through the Big Shot.

4. Cut a 1/2" slit with an exacto knife in the fold line even with the 15/8" indent point.
This is to slide the ribbon through.

5. Slide a 1/2 ribbon ( I used a retired  SU Organza, it was light and airy on the card.) through the slit and attach the ends over each other on the front of dress shape.  Cover the ends with a small flower punch shape.  Attach with a Dimensional.  Place a pearl in the center of the flower.

Groom:
1. Cut a piece of black cardstock 2 5/8" x 5 1/2"  Attach to right hand flap.  Black will hang out beyond flap.  It needs to so it layers under the dress.
Punch out a triangle with the Petite Pennants Builder Punch, or cut one that is 1 1/2" long x 1 wide at base.  Attach to top edge centered on black cardstock.
Attach 2 Rhinestones for buttons.  Attach a small punched flower for boutonniere.

Stamp sentiment inside card with Black ink.

You're all set.  It's really an easy card after you get the dress cut.

Happy stamping!
