St. Patrick's Day Treat

There's gold at the end of the rainbow!

These cute licorice treats were inspired by a post at How Does She?.
I added the leprechaun face after I saw Kay Kahltoff's basket here.

If you don't count trying to squish 5 sticks of licorice
into a pretzel bag, lol, it was an easy craft.
I cut the licorice pieces in half lengthwise to make it more managable.
We used bamboo skewers to ease the licorice onto the bags.  It helped.
We made these at my Krafters and Kids and Adult 3D class.
I used smaller punch shapes than Kay so they would fit on the bag topper.

Two - 2 1/2" green circles
Staple to bag before attaching face and greeting shapes.
Modern label punch - green - hat brim
Large Tag punch - green - hat
1/8" strip of Pumpkin Pie - I cut it off an embossed scrap.
2 3/8" Scallop circle punch - Pumpkin Pie
1 3/4"  Circle Punch Vanilla - face
1/2" Circle Punch Vanilla - nose

Use dauber to create cheeks with Pink Pirouette.
Use Espresso marker to draw mouth
Attach 2 med google eyes with glue dots.
Attach hat (Large Tag shape) to back side of face.
Attach brim to front of face (Modern Label shape)
Attach Pumpkin Pie strip to hat. Tape to back side.
Layer on 2 3/8" Pumpkin Pie Scallop shape.

Attach face to treat.  Attach verse to back of green circles.
Easy peasy.  :)

Happy stamping!

those are really cute. I saw the rainbow post you mentioned, but I really like yours. Kinda late now, but for the future, an easier way to get those licorice candies into the bag is to wrap a piece of copy paper around them, slide them in, and pull the copy out.
