Metal Garden Art

Did you know the Big Shot cuts roof flashing?
This is one of the many cool things you can make with it.  You can find roof flashing in rolls of 6" x several yards, in the roofing dept at any place that sells roofing materials.  The Oval is the center shape from the Oval Scallop Frame Bigz Die.  Linda Barnes demonstrated how easy these were to make at the Stampin' Up! Leadership training in January.

This was the third project from the 3D class.  I had the shapes all die cut and the gals embossed them in the Stampin' Up! Impression Folders.  Yes! Really, they work with metal too!

We used spiral paperclips and brads to fasten the pieces together.  The Crop A Dile was perfect for punching the holes.  The edges are dulled somewhat when cut with the Big Shot.  I still asked everyone to be careful when handling the pieces.  We used 18 gauge floral wire to create a stand to hold them in a  flower pot, a garden space or even in a bouquet  One of the girls in the Krafters and Kids class suggested making an S hook with the wire so they could hang in her room.  Great idea!
The last 3D project was a St. Patrick's Day treat so I'll post that next week.  If you are local I hold  the 3D class once a month. 4 projects for $5.  The last weekend of the month.  Saturday for adults, though we've talked of moving that one.  Sunday for Krafters and Kids.  Contact me of you'd like to come to a class!
I should be back from the Stampin' Up! Regionals in Milwaukee today,
so I'll have fun new things to share with you this week!

Happy stamping!
