Sesame Street Table Decor

A very easy way to dress the center of your table.  Using 2 or more different color napkins run a line of  them down the table in a diamond pattern.  It's inexpensive, colorful and handy for a spill!  :)  Again some extra character heads are scattered around.

I had intended to do all the Sesame Street characters at first, so I bought these rubber duckies in a dollar spot.  They would be great for the take home goodie bag if your guests were under age 3.  Safe toys.  Lots of fun in the pool or bath.

The place settings make the table fun and colorful.
You could do all the same character or the different ones as I did.

The juice boxes were wrapped in matching cardstock and the faces created as shown here.  For Big Bird I added a Jumbo Oval punch and cut into one end to create a feathered look.  It is attached inside the wrapper for the juice box.

The party horns are done with Sticky Strip in hopes that the faces last through the party.  I got a bag of 6 at the Dollar Store.  One was silver so that didn't work. You could wrap cardstock or plain colored designer paper around the horns if you couldn't find primary colors.  For Big Bird I added a 1 1/2" x 3" strip and cut into one side to create the feathered look.

If you can only find the blow out type of party horn.
Here's a way to decorate them.
2 1/2" circles
1 1/2" x 4 1/2" paper strip.  Score at 1 1/4"
Punch 1/2" holes in each end.  I punched 3/4" holes and they were too big.

Fold on score lines.  Attach circle to center area.  Attach character to circle.
You could even stamp and put the words Happy Birthday on them.

Sorry I only had pink horns in my stash to show this.
I'd use red or yellow for a party.

It makes each place setting more fun to add the characters faces.
The faces on the straws can be attached with glue dots or sticky strop tape.

Elmo

Cookie Monster

Big Bird

Oscar
You could do napkins and plates to match each characters color.
I didn't include balloons, due to the concern of latex allergies.  Not that this party happened, despite many friends who wanted to come to it.  lol  It's just a safety thought.  We never know what allergies young children may have.  Mylar balloons would be fun and you could probably find the Sesame Street characters.

Happy stamping!
