Day 11 Valentine A Day

These are the Valentine treats we made at the class at Hobby Lobby.
Most of them are quick and easy to do.
Left to right: top row
Tagged Treat These skinny m&m bags are filled with candy hearts
and decorated with a tag topper.  You can get these bags at clearbags.com

robot card - more below

XO Candy Heart Box
I measured around the box and cut the wrapper to size.  Embossed it with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder,
and decorated it with crimped X and O punched shapes on a 2.5" circle punch.  The X is 2 strips held together with a brad.

Petal Card candy bar holder
Using one petal card from the Sizzix die.  Fold in 3 sides.  Wrap a band around this.  I cut a strip, punched the edge with the Eyelet punch, then crimped it before wrapping the petal card.  Layer on 3 hearts and tie a ribbon around it all.  It's a perfect size for a Ghiradelli candy bar!

bottom row:
Owl Pencil Holder
this is a tear drop shape with the top end folded down.  I also made an owl with a grey body and blue eyes.   I gave him away so I can't share him today.  I used the 1/2" punch to make the openings for the pencil.  You could do this with Pixie Stix too.

Milk Carton Treat Box
Using a milk carton die cut from SU.  Assemble the carton.  Wrap a band of dsp around the body.  Wrap ribbon around over the dsp. Tie, at the same time, 5" lengths of  1/4" black and white grosgrain over the red ribbon on one side.  Trim ends.  Before pulling the second part of the knot for these tight, slide a 2" section of string pearls into it.  Use a glue dot to attach the ribbon rose into the knot.  A small clip holds the cartons shut so the treats are accessible!

The robot card was originally created by Ann Taylor.  He has silver paper crimped for arms and legs.  I used circle punches for his hands and feet.
The head is a 1 1/4" punch shape with a long skinny scrap run behind for the bolts on the sides.  I found yellow wiggle eyes in my stash.  They look like they are glowing.  A candy bar wrapped in dsp is the body.

So that's the treats!

Happy Stamping!
