Quick and Easy Dasher

Another quick and easy Christmas card.  The clock is counting down,
just 40 days until Christmas!

The Old Olive layer is embossed with the Petals-A-Plenty Impressions Folder.

Stamp Dasher with Early Espresso Ink on the larger Scallop Square Duo Die cut (Very Vanilla).  This is a great die as it has 2 squares on one die.  I did the direct to paper technique by swiping the pad along the edges of the square.

Apply Sticky Strip on the Old Olive layer stopping 3/4" from each edge.  Then stick the ribbon down creating the folds as you go.  You'll need to place short pieces of Sticky Strip under each fold so they lay flat.

The button is from the Buttons #5 Sizzlits Die. You can cut several of these and glue them together to make a thicker button for your card.  Just remember to line up the holes in the center of the button.  Tie Linen Thread in the button.

You could dress this up more by . . .
Rubbing Old Olive or another dark ink over the textured base piece.
Adding Dazzling Diamonds to Dasher's antlers using the 2Way Glue pen.
Using one of our Designer Buttons in place of the die cut button.
Layering the Square Scallop on a layer of Real Red or Early Espresso.
