I'm back!

I am once again online. I bought a new HP laptop with the full refund from my dead computer. It is so worth purchasing the warranties! lol  Here are some of the cards we created in the technique class last month.

Frosted Filter technique - Tye dyeing coffee filters, heat setting, and used as a background.  Watercolor Trio is the stamp set we used, it is from the Summer Mini Catalog.

Jenny's Coat - Clear embossing over designer paper, then brayered with a dark ink.  This is the Medallion stamp.  The designer paper is Island Oasis from the summer mini.  The phrase stamp is from the Service & Sacrifice stamp set.

This is a case of a card I got in a swap hosted by StamperJamie. It is not exact but close!
It is Mosaic Stamping where you create your own stamp out of scraps of rubber then stamp the background.  We also stamped scrap paper and die cut butterflies with the Beautiful Butterflies die.  The "body" of the butterflies are ribbon scrunched onto sticky strip.  We also used the new Smooch Spritz over the background stamping, it is featured in the Summer Mini.

Last we made the new pansy flower.
It is made using the butterfly punch!
You use 2 butterfly punches.  The aquapainter and reinkers are used to color wash the butterflies.  After they dry you put them together to create the pansy flower.  I used  a stamp from Greenhouse Garden to stamp the center of each.  A brad holds then together.  We attached them to a Scallop envelope that was run through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Folder from the Summer Mini.

Lo and behold this chocolate candy bar was still in the holder from class.  Well, there's no chocolate in it anymore!  :)

Happy stamping!

Love love love your Jenni's coat card! Fantastic combination of Medallion with that paper -- you've got the eye, Kim.
