Sheltering Tree - background technique

Hi all!
Sorry I dropped off the net, I had minor surgery,
and an event at my Upline's that I was making things for.
I was going to be so good and post everyday.  lol
I should have known, life would get in the way!
This way, those of you behind on emails, can catch up!  :)

Here's a card we cased from Lisa Young for Stamp Buffet.

We created the background using a block, markers, and water.
I had this sheet for laying under the clear block.

We then colored over the areas with Markers.
Spritzed it really well, with water, and stamped it on Very Vanilla cardstock.
After it dried a bit, we then stamped the tree, 2 layers of leaves, and the ground.
I had them start with a quarter sheet of cardstock, then trim it down to 3" x 4".

Happy stamping!

Card #1 is here.
I did post that before my foot started giving me too many problems.

I folded the corner down, covered that with Versamark to have a different tone.
The center panel is the splatter image and the tire tread from the set.

Sweet Stack - Mission Contest Entry

My Upline Gloria, runs a Mission contest every month for a workshop layout of 4 cards.
It reminds me of the TV show Mission Impossible.
This is your mission, should you choose to accept it. . . .   lol
Yes I am that old!

I've enter for several months.  My motorcycle cards won the first time I entered.  Yeah!
This set while cute, didn't win the month I entered them but I realized I forgot to share them!
I used the Sweet Stack set that goes with the Cutie Pie Framelits.

Cute, right?
I also had to do a write up of materials and how tos
for the cards I'll share that over the next few days.

Merry Medley Background Stamp

Yes it's a new background stamp!
It works to use some of the greetings on their own on cards too!
Sometimes all the words intertwine or overlap.
Not here so I have plans for several card ideas using just part of the images.
I'm tempted to cut it apart.  My customers don't like when I do that though.  :-)

I sponged Sweet Sugarplum ink on the new Fancy Frost Specialty dsp.
It is white cardstock with a raised design.

Also featured are Fancy Frost Sequins, (they come in 3 colors) and
the 3/8" (1 Cm) Glitter Ribbon Combo Pack.  This is a softer metallic ribbon.

Cookie Cutter Halloween

Here is my swap card for Kelly's swap.
These images (and a cute scarecrow) also coordinate with the Cookie Cutter punch.
The little vampire is punched out and edged out the circle opening some.
I used paper from the Bold Brights and Neutrals Designer Paper Packs
to add some Halloween color.  That cute bat is part of the stamp set too!

A chilly Cookie Cutter Christmas!

Thought I wouldn't post another holiday card?
It seems so early to show Christmas sets,
but then you need time to order and get your stamping done.
Here is another card using the Cookie Cutter Christmas set.

This cute little Eskimo is so adorable.

The background is the Northern Lights technique.  What else?!
Sandi McIver has a great tutorial about how to do this.

I created the igloo using the Brick embossing folder,
and the 3" Circle framelit from the Layering Circle Framelits.
Dazzling details added a touch of sparkle to the card.
A sprinkle of the new Fancy Frost Sequins dressed it up just enough!

Artistically Asian Stamp Set

A quick and cute card.
We used markers to color the image from the Artistically Asian Stamp Set.
The designer paper pieces are Serene Scenery leftover scraps from a swap I did,
that worked perfect for this card.  Also used the thick Whisper White for this card base.

Happy Birthday! - Better Together Stamp Set

Isn't this card just so much happy?!

We did have to hand cut the hat.  Not everything has a punch!
I love the new Layering Ovals Framelits Dies.  I thought they would be small,
but they are perfect for the front of a card.

Serene Scenery Designer Paper

This is a 6" x 6" pack of designer paper.
It is filled with wonderful images and designs.
These are both cased.
What great ways to use the designer paper.
At first no one was going to make this card.  They thought
they had to do the blues and browns on the paper.
Nope easy card, just the birds, the weeds, and a bit more.

This was a wow, but so easy!
Trim your dsp to 2" squares, glue down.
We pierced a hole for the bakers Twine in the fold.
Folded the twine in half and pushed it through the hole
to tie around the card front.
I love dandelions.
So many wishes waiting to be sent off . . . .
