Jar of Love - pinwheels

This was one of my flops when creating cards for new sets.
I know, what is wrong with it?!  It was too fussy.
The pinwheels don't stay put, they unfold.
They would have been better made out of designer paper.

I stamped the stems and added a strip of cardstock above the jar for one stem.
I stamped and die cut the jar from Pool Party for that blue jar look.

The stars in the center of the pinwheels are Soft Subtle Enamel Shapes
colored with a Gold sharpie marker.  I wasn't sure I could use green or purple stars
and hearts, but am thrilled the Sharpie markers cover the original color.

This is a fun set, easy to use.
I was worried the small die cuts would not stay put,
no problem when using the magnetic platform.

Here is a busy card with some of the small flower shapes
popped up on Dimensionals.  I stamped layer after layer
to get the look of jars lined up in a window.

Jar of Love - Fireflies

This set has so many possibilities!

I embossed the jar and sponged white craft ink for the "glow".
The fireflies are stamped with Stazon ink.  I heat set each step so the inks didn't smear.

A customer shared a great tip for these jar stamps.
The center is already cut out so you can get a lopsided jar,
when placing the stamp in the block.

1. Place your stamp face down on the table.
2. Gentle press your block to it.
3. Lift up and your jar is on the block.

No lopsided canning jars in your cupboard!

One Wild Ride

I entered a contest my upline offered, and made cards
with the One Wild Ride set.  This stamp set was
designed by Dawn Griffith  and SU, upon reaching her One Million in sales.
Awesome perk to being a demonstrator!

I love this saying.

Birds and Blooms Thinlits

This set coordinates with the stamp set Best Birds.
I'm having a few problems coloring the images.
So I created one using just the framelits.  I water colored the birds.

My sad flops.
I got frustrated and tore this one up.

This is watercolor paper.  All the markers, blender pens,
and aqua painters just kept bleeding outside the lines.
I like the sparrow on the right, in this photo.
The flowers stamped wrong.
I sometimes throw a lot of stuff away, trying to get a just right card!

That's all I've got today.

Back Online!

Hi all!

I took a small break, my life was in chaos.  Nothing traumatic just being pulled
in too many directions and I injured my foot by kicking the wheel of the bed frame
in December, and jamming 2 toe joints (in the same toe!) together.
That's still not healed correctly.  sigh  So I limp around everywhere.

So did you hear there is a new catalog!  {-D

I really like everything in this book.  So many fun sets!
I love Bella and Friends.  My dog Mickey looks like the dog in the set.
I had to buy it!
He does NOT like having his picture taken.  lol
Ooops!  Had to white out his name tag.  I don't need to share that online.

I used the stamp set to make quick thank you cards for last month's orders.

I hope to post often, but I am not making any promises.
Life gets too crazy and with this foot issue,
and I don't seem to have enough energy in  day.

Valentine Puppy Treat Bag

This is just the cutest bag ever!
I used the retired Heart framelits and circle punches.
I found a card on Pinterest here and had to put this adorable face on a treat bag.

Grunge Valentine - Timeless Textures

Timeless Textures is my new favorite stamp set.

I think I like it more than Gorgeous Grunge!
Who would have thought Cherry Cobbler
and Blushing Bride would look this great together?

I was inspired by a card on Pinterest
where they used Washi tape to create the layered look.

This stamp set works so well for layering your stamping!

Valentine Treat Bag Die

The center of the front layer is cut out with the heart before assembling the bag.
I will place a candy treat inside a cello bag or envelope to gift this to someone.

All the extras cut to decorate this bag are included in the Mini Treat Bag Thinlit die.
You could do this same layout, using different papers
and the stars for a birthday treat bag!

Valentine Bloomin' Hearts Cafe Bag

Giving a gift or treat that needs a bigger bag?
Try Stampin' Up's café bags, decorate them with an easy tag.
The tag is held on the bag with the clothespin.

Here is a layered tag using the new Bloomin' Hearts die.
It is an intricate die and works well with the precision plate
and the new brush for detailed dies.

The thinlit die comes with the heart and 2 flower shapes.
I die cut several shapes to layer over the flower area in the die cut.

Playful Pals Valentine

A fun Valentine using the Playful Pals stamp set and thinlits.

I stamped the images after die cutting the shapes.
Otherwise one ear would be backwards.
The strip of designer paper is fringed with a thinlit in the set.
The dsp is from a pack of 48 sheets, that are so varied, they work for any occasion.
There are enough sheets, you could split the pack with a friend!

I've made up some sample critters with the pyramid box.
I'll get them online soon.  They are so cute!

From the catalog.  I like the piñata sample for birthdays.

Gift Card Holder - Going Global

The Envelope Punch Board is the greatest way to create a gift card holder.
A few score lines, a bit of adhesive and you have any size envelope you need.
This 3" x 4" envelope is from a 6" x 6" piece of dsp.  You can get 4
from a 12" x 12" sheet of dsp.

The stamp set I used is new and has great greetings for any occasion.
