Daisy Lane Bundle

This is what I created playing around with the new Daisy Lane Bundle.

It's a medium daisy size.  It co-ordinates with the Daisy Delight stamp set and punch.

The pink sour cream container is made using the new Stitched Lace Die.

World Art Day

Tombow sent me an email saying April 15th is World Art Day!

I thought it was made up.  Well, someone made it up somewhere!

Google confirmed it was World Art Day!

So I am sharing a Make and Take from Onstage 2019.

A sneak peek from the upcoming catalog.

I lost 80% of the programs on my laptop, including my picture formatting program, 

when Microsoft did an update.  Grrrr  

Now to find a new program.  What do my demo friends use?

So my regulars are asking where have you been?  Again!

Life gets messy, and it's only me to take care of stuff.  

This happened this spring, last flood was 25 years ago.

Morning picture.

4:00 pm

 It was 4 feet deep in backyard. The fence tips are just over 4 feet high.  

My yard has a slope to it.  It was 6 inches deep in garage.  

So wet mess everywhere.  A puddle in basement side of house.  

The sump pump ran constantly for 3 days.  Glad I got a new one last spring.

An inch deep in the crawlspace and that destroyed boxes of stuff.

In the house was all clear water, that rose up through the floor.  

A puddle in the stamp room (basement area) under my work table.

It came right up through the floor and tile flooring.

Everything was so saturated, the water had to go somewhere.

bleh!

My mom is 83 and just now starting to have some health issues.  

Awesome for her.  She water walks, does her yard work, is at the casino often.  lol

I'm her person to fix and follow up on stuff.  She had a TIA, a micro mini stroke.

She has recovered and is doing well.  Lots of doctor visits though.

My doctor finally diagnosed me with Hashimoto's Disease, it's a thyroid issue.

Three and a half years of feeling like carp, my immune system is out of whack, 

but we are working on stuff.  I have more energy in the last month than I have had in a year.  

We keep tweaking, so hopefully I will be back to normal soon.

I am tired of feeling good for a month, then crashing again. 

So now you now where I am at.  I actually was at the point of quitting, 

but I think I have a little more stamping in me.

Celebrate Shaker Card

Using a 2" strip of cardstock, and the Scalloped Tag Topper punch to create the "window"

with the word die cut and then popped up with the Foam Adhesive strips.  

The word celebrate is attached thru the opening to the back white layer.

It is filled with LOTS! of sequins, (used up retired ones!)

The new Rectangle Stitched Framelit dies make a nice pop of color.

It's swap time again! Sale A Bration Set - Part Of My Story #simplystamping

A new catalog starts January 3rd.  

The Occasion Catalog and Sale A Bration catalog will go live that day!

I only did one local swap this year.  

I swapped for so many cards at Onstage in Florida, 

I don't have space to display much more!

I used the greeting set Part of My Story for my swap.  

Along with Winter Woods (which is carried over!  Love these trees!)

The background,  created with Balmy Blue ink is stamped with a clear block ( block I).

It was so different from card to card.  How much ink the block holds, 

the amount of water sprtized on the inked block, it all makes a difference.

Here it is so light.

Shimmer cardstock works very well for this technique.

It is mounted on Smokey Slate.  I used Basic Gray for the trees and words.

Cherry Cobbler marker for the heart.  A trio of Rhinestones finished it up.

It is a great card for Stampin' Up's! #simplystamping challenge.

Easy for beginners, but enough wow to please an advanced stamper in a class.

Merry Christmas!

I'm sure you know it's so hard to get pets to pose for pictures.  

This guy is extra shy.  He's finally starting to get that if he sits,

while I aim the phone in his face, he gets a treat.

I gave this to him Christmas Eve.  

He didn't like all the extra fuss happening.

Well, he didn't like this toy either.  lol

!2 days of Gift Card Holders - Day 12 Adding a Gift Card Pocket

You don't have to make something 3D to hold a gift card.  

There are many ways to add a pocket inside any card to create a gift card holder.

So beat that last minute stress, pull out a card you already have 

and add a pocket for that last minute gift card.

You can use Tear and Tape adhesive, Glue Dots, or Mini Dimensionals, 

to attach your pockets.  Keep in mid the width of the gift card, usually 3.5",

so you can slide it into the pocket.

Also remember, only put adhesive on 3 of the sides.  

Not the side the card slides into.  

I did all 4 sides of the pockets on a set of gift card holders, 

way back, when first selling cards.  That was not funny then, it is now!  :)

Diagonal pockets are great.

You can do a different color for a pop of color inside,

or the same color so it blends into the card base.

This one is cut higher, rather than a 3 sided triangle.

Designer paper makes a great pocket.

This style allows the card to be sideways or to stand up.

Vellum works too.

Gift card holders can also go in the left side of the card.

This will make the greeting, inside the card, the focal point.

So they can be made of anything, go anywhere, making gift giving easier!
