Paper Pumpkin Prepaid Subscriptions

For the first time ever, we're lowering the price of our 3 month prepaid subscription. During Sale-A-Bration (January 6-March 31) you can save money and instantly qualify for a FREE Sale A Bration product!

Why did we choose to discount the 3 month subscription? Because all good things come in threes! Here are three things we know you'll love.
  1. You'll save $5.00 on your subscription.
  2. The price point instantly qualifies for a FREE Sale-A-Bration product.
  3. Skip to the fun for three months with all the stamps, ink, and paper ready to go for amazing papercrafting projects.
Paper Pumpkin Prepaid Subscription
Price (Shipping Included)
 1 month
 3 months
$59.85 $54.85
 6 months
$113.70 -- save $1 per month
 12 months
$215.40 -- save $2 per month

How It Works
  1. When you places your order, you'll receive an e-mail with instructions and a redemption code to redeem the prepaid subscription.
  2. You'll need to go to and enter the redemption code.
  3. Then start enjoying your monthly Paper Pumpkin project kit the very next month!
  • Each Paper Pumpkin account can only use one redemption code at a time. For example, if someone buys two six-month prepaid subscriptions, they'll enter the first code and then after six months can enter the second code.
  • When placing an order, which includes a prepaid subscription, shipping is included-so you won't have to figure shipping for that item; however, you will need to include tax (use the hostess's tax rate).
  • While not intended to be a gift subscription program, you or your customers can buy a prepaid subscription and give it as a gift. You'd just purchase the prepaid subscription and when you receive the redemption code, share it with the recipient of your choice who can redeem the subscription at
  • Redemption codes will become invalid if not used within three years of the purchase date (two years for residents of California).

Tuesday Tip of the Week and Weekly Deals!

Tip of the Week:
Changing or adding color to your ribbon.
I had Pink Pirouette Chevron ribbon but it was too bright on this treat bag.
I dragged it lightly over the Blushing bride ink pad and it blended better with the project.
To change the color of your ribbon.
Set your ink pad open witrh the lid snapped in place.
Take hold of the end of the ribbon.
Lay scrap paper over the ribbon and ink pad.
Gently apply pressure to the ribbon as it slides over the ink pad.
The color may be uneven, I do drag a second time if it is too light,
You can also stamp on the ribbon with small stamp images.
Just allow the ink a few minutes to dry.

Butterfly Basics Treat Bag

A fun bag that is easy to dress up with a few things.
Fill with your treat or small gift!
I folded the bag top over.  Layered a folded Tea Doily over the top edge.
I attached a banner die cut from the Stacked with Love paper stack.
A white banner cut one size smaller is stamped with the ferns and small flower stamps/
The butterfly image is lovely, it looks like a piece of lace cut and attached to the banner.
This is the smallest butterfly thinlit in that set of 3 butterflies..
I punched through all the layers and ran the ribbon through and tied a knot.
You can create a lot of these in a short time.  Wonderful thank you gifts
for a party or even teacher appreciation!

Notecard Holder Tutorial

Hi all!
This is an easy project.  Remember, that's my new style.  Easy. peasy!  :D
It holds up to 6 note cards and 6 envelopes.  More than that and it bulges like too small jeans!
I also added a little bag I made to hold the sentiments from the stamp set.
It gives the recipient the option of placing a word on the front, inside, or not at all.
I cut a 5" wide by 4" tall piece of vellum.
Scored at 2" and 4".
Fold to back attach flaps over each other with Sticky Strip.
Place Sticky Strip in bottom edge press together.  Crimp up 1/2".
Like making the first part of a sour cream container.
Slide your sentiments inside.
Fold a doily in half over the top edge.  Punch 2 holes side by side.
I tied this shut with a leftover strand of burlap ribbon I pulled apart,  from another project.
I just glued the butterfly to the doily.
 Tutorial for holder:
So to make this take a 12' X 12" sheet of cardstock.
Score at 6".
turn 90 degrees, score again at 6".
From the score lines at the sides, cut on angled lines.  For the one in the photos I cut right to the point from the scored lines at the sides.  I would suggest not cutting lower than 1" below the top edge.  Your flaps may not be strong enough to support the notecards inside.
Fold up bottom edge so cut flaps are inside.  Fold in half like a book.
To secure the 24" of ribbon I die cut openings with a small opening thinlit from the Chalk Talk set.
You could cut slits, attach the ribbon with Sticky Strip and a punch shape over it.  However you attach it, you don't want the ribbon to fall off when the holder is open.
I trusted the little framelit to stay in place on the magnet board.  Hmm, nope didn't happen.  Use a post it over it the second time you make the cut.  Just so it stays put!
Wrap ribbon around to front and tie a bow.
What ever theme you use for your cards and front panel makes this a perfect gift for anyone!

Tip of the Week and Weekly Deals!

Tip of the Week:
I am organizing and cleaning my stamp space.  I wanted to share something that works for me to get my stamps really clean.  I only use this on the rubber stamps, not my photopolymer type stamps.
I use Simple Green All Purpose Cleaner to get stubborn ink off my stamps.  Most ink comes right off with the Stampin' Mist or water.  I mix the Simple Green with an equal part of water.  A Tablespoon or two of each, in a spray bottle.  Mist the stamp surface, let sit a minute, then scrub off with a soft cloth.  I have gotten old ink stains off lots stamps.

Getting Organized

Did you make a resolution to get more organized this year?  I did too.  I've been working on my stamp space to get things more organized.  I hate hunting for stuff I don't put in the same place twice.  It is a huge waste of  time.  So now everything will have a place.  I was also inspired to declutter and toss, or donate a lot stuff (That's been my problem.  Too much stuff!) I haven't used in forever.  It is very rewarding to clear stuff out that just takes up space on my shelves.
I put my reinkers in some of the Wood Mount stamp cases.
My sponges are sorted by color family.  These are boxes for storing embroidery thread.
My embellishments will now be easy to find.  I'm using a 3 drawer unit to store current embellishments.  I'll get it labeled when I have them all rounded up.

Stampin' Addict's Occasions Catalog Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin' Addicts 2015 Occasions Catalog Blog Hop.

We are featuring items from the Stampin' Up 2015 Occasions Catalog.
If you are following the hop in order, you arrived from Rhonda's blog
where she featured the stamp set  Painted Petals.  A beautiful floral stamp set.

I am featuring the Butterfly Basics stamp set.  I had so many ideas for this set,
I decided to not make single cards for this blog hop.

My first project is a scrapbook page.  I used a Project Life 12 x 12 page
and a few parts from the Playground Accessory kit along with the Butterfly Basics stamp set.
The photos are from Tina, raising a boy, I had no garden pictures to use with this set.

My 2nd project is a note card kit.

It holds 4 cards with stamped envelopes and a goodie bag with greetings,
that can be added to the card by the sender.  I'll share Monday how to make this.

My last projects was labor intensive.  Die cutting all the butterflies,
I don't even want to count how many there are!
Once I had all the butterflies cut, it went together in about 30 minutes.
I used embroidery hoops to hold it all together in a circular shape.

 Thanks for hopping by.
I hope you are enjoying all our great projects!
Next up on the Blog Hop is Paula where she is featuring
the Crazy About You Bundle.  A stamp set with a word for every occasion.

Happy stamping!

Tip of the Week and Weekly Deals!

              Tip of the Week:
Cutting cleanly with the Butterflies Thinlit dies.

To get a nice clean cut I add 2 layers of paper toweling under the cardstock, then 2 layers of wax paper
over the cardstock,  then the new Butterfly Thinlits.  All the small sections get cut so they pop out easily.
I use a piercing tool or the tip of my scissors and they easily fall out.
(I'm using a cheaper brand paper toweling.  One layer may be enough of a high end toweling.)
The paper toweling creates a cushion before the thinlit hits the plate allowing a little more
cutting depth to cut through the cardstock.  The wax paper helps the cardstock pop out of the die.
Nothing worse than cutting 20 of these, and none of them surviving the removal from the die.
Here's my card for the Stamp Buffet this month,
using the Butterflies thinlits die and Butterfly Basics stamp set.
