Welcome to the Stampin' Addicts Blog Hop - Winter Edition!
If you are looking for Christmas, Hanukkah and everything snowy,
then this is the blog hop for you. In this blog hop we are covering the Winter part
of the Stampin' Up! 2014 Holiday Catalog. We did the first half of the catalog
in the Fall Blog Hop. Those links are still active if you want to see the fall ideas.
I hope you enjoyed Twila's projects at Stamp A Little Longer where she featured
the Wonderous Wreath Bundle. She is so talented!
I am using the Curvy Keepsake Box die.
It's been so fun to create projects with this die.
It's been so fun to create projects with this die.
My first project is a garland for the mantle, or for in a window. I layered Trim The Tree Designer Series Paper Stack die cut pieces over the Real Red die cuts to decorate two sides of each box. The letters are the Perfect Print Alphabet Bigz Die. The bows are created with the smaller shapes from the BigZ Bow die.
The next project is a luminary. I cut Vellum and applied Washi tape
to each longer side, before attaching the 2 pieces together.
I embossed the Star from Christmas Bliss Photopolymer Stamp Set on the other side.
Look a night time shot! These never turn out for me!
Last project, a cute little Chapstick purse!
I was going to make a poinsettia flower for on a box,
but I saw a purse when I picked up the framelit!
I cut 2 of one side with 1/2 the base to put two together
to form a chapstick holder purse.
This die set comes with 3 tags dies.
They make a cute accent on a project.
The next stop on the blog hop is Betty's Blog at Kitty Stamp.
She 's featuring the Gift Card Envelope and Trims Thinlet.
Such fun projects!
Thanks for hopping with Stampin' Addicts!

These were the bonus projects we made at the Halloween wreath kit class.
5 fun, spooky candy treat holders. I'll show how to make these though the month.
Things are finally settling down here. Siding is done, porch cover is built, flower beds are all cleaned out, painting outside is done. Inside, my office makeover is 2/3s done, stamp room painting needs to get finished. There's always something on the project list!
1" cello bag
black or chocolate licorice stick
2" x 12" strip of Halloween patterned designer paper
sticky strip tape
1 1/4" circle of Pumpkin Pie cardstock
1" punch, scissors
glue dots, Dimensionals
white scrap to stamp on
I used the retired Spooky Bingo Bits
1. Slide licorice into 1" cello bag. I slide a strip of copy paper into the treat bag first,
then slide the candy along it so it fits in the bag.
2. Attach Sticky strip on the backside of the 2" x 12" paper about 1/2" from top edge.
Cut fringe up to tape. You can use the Fringe Scissors for this too!
I used some scrap from retired papers. This was for the Hobby Lobby treat class.
You could also use the black from the Neutrals dsp. I used that for the class.
3. On one end fold bag over on itself if too long.
Attach bag to one end of paper and roll paper around bag keeping ends even.
4. Tie ribbon around top edge of broom.
5. Stamp desired image, punch out with 1" Circle punch.
Attach to 1 1/4" Pumpkin Pie circle.
Attach this to broom with glue dot or Dimensional dot.
Fun little treat for all the goblins at your house.

World card making day was so fun! The gals that were there had a great time!
They created a sampler of cards with parts from the kit.
I had 4 ideas printed out from Pinterest and we went from there.
Some of the cards!
Everyone loved the sled diecut in the kit!
You get 6 of them along with everything to make 20 cards!
Watercolor Winter Simply Created Kit #135869
cost $24.95 - contents of kit make 20 cards
With this kit and a few stamps, you'll be ready to go.
Includes card bases, envelopes, die-cut letters and shapes, linen thread and accents.

I cased the layout of this card from a winter swap card.
I liked the Washi tape across the top layer but needed fall cards.
The frayed knot is the Gold Bakers Twine.
I tied loops together then cut the ends and let it fray.
To keep the knot in place, you can add a dot of Fray Check
(used in sewing) to the knot.
I embossed a piece of the Color Me Autumn designer series paper
with the Tiny Triangles die. Sanding lightly across the raised design
added dimension to the card.
A fun, quick, card!
