New Circle Tab Punch and Washi Tape

I used this punch on several projects for my display projects..
This sample shows it the best.

A 2 pocket card with tags.
One of these pockets could hold a gift card too.

The punched shape is 2 circles with the rectangle base,
it folds in half to create the tab.  It is great for pull up cards and tags.

I think it will be great for protecting fingers from getting inky,
by holding sponges as we did with the old Tab punch, like Tanya Boser shows here.
Just replace the punched shape.

Here are a couple more cards with the new Pick A Pattern Washi Tape.
It is a 5 roll assortment: 1/8", 1/4", 3/8", 5/8", 1" widths.

Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, and Basic Black go together so well!
SU is reconfiguring the Pearls and Rhinestones.  The embellishments won't have
the string of stones, just single pearls and rhinestones on the sheets.
We aren't losing them!
This greeting is from a new set, At Home With You, that I received
as part of my products for Display Stamper.  More from that set later.

This card was an aha moment.  I had a scrap laying on the desk
with a bird and branch cut out but not lined up like this.  I realized it was the perfect way
to feature the peekaboo technique for dsp or washi tape!

Running the Washi Tape at an angle allowed more of it to show through the opening.
Real Red, Whisper White and Black really pop on this card.
The greeting is not crooked on the card.

I got great advice on ho to boost my blog from other bloggers at Onstage.
I am reviewing my notes and will make a few changes.  Getting a stand
for my camera is number one.  So many of my shots are off kilter.  The new phone
with a good camera is an improvement.  There are other things I am considering.
One day at a time!

More projects to come yet!

Loyal and True Stamp Set

This is an awesome set to use for cards for the troops.
Wonderful sentiments and contains 7 images.

For this card I inked the biggest block with 2 colors (Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake)
stamped on Whisper White for the background technique,
I then sponged the sun in the corner (Pumpkin Pie) .
The images are stamped in Chocolate Chip ink.
You need a well inked stamp pad to get a good image for the soldier.
Linen Thread, W. White, Crumb Cake, Espresso cardstock.

This collage card showcases more of the images.
I combined Timeless Textures with it, for a grunge look.  The star stamped image
is from Loyal and True stamped in Lemon Lime Twist ink, a new In Color.
The only stamp image I didn't use in the samples was a small heart shape.

This sentiment from the set, is great for an anniversary, birthday or just a thinking of you card,
for family to send to a loved one.  I cut 2 of the sentiment shape one in white and one in black.
I cut the black in half horizontally and lined it up to make the greeting pop.
It features new Pick a Pattern Washi Tape, 5 rolls each a different pattern.
This heart punch is retiring.  There are still the Sweet & Sassy Layering Heart Framelits
with many heart sizes to use!

More later this week!

Wood Textures Desigher Series Paper

New product again!
This is the coolest dsp Stampin' Up! has had in a long time!
It is 2 sided with all but one design being a very similar pattern on each side.

This is the pattern that is 2 sided!  I love the ends of the log in the design.
I sponged with Early Espresso ink around the edges of the base layer,
to add a little depth to the card.
The embellishments are Linen Thread, yay! staying, Thick Baker's Twine,
and the new Touches of Nature Elements.  Wood accents that are natural tone
on one side and whitewash on the other.  I used them all with the natural side showing.

I tried to make all my display projects easy enough to be used as workshop cards.
They can always be stepped up with another layer before adding the dsp to the base.

Next post a new stamp set for our armed forces.

Lovely Laurel Thinlits - More display Board Projects!

My other projects using the Lovely Laurel Thinlits from the next catalog.

A card with the open window.  The 2 diecuts of  the leaves hold the bottom portion
of the front on the card.  This designer series paper is a 6x6 pack called Wood Textures.
This sheet design has a pink tint to it.  Perfect with Blushing Bride cardstock.

Of course, leaves such as this, say wreath!  I cut many, many leaves to create the wreath.
I used a circle shape cut from vellum to make it light enough to hang on the display board.
Tagboard would be sufficient to use as a base for home d├ęcor use.
The ribbon is new, 5/8" Crinkled Seam Binding in Berry Burst, a new In Color.
I gathered 16" pieces to create the 6 flowers.
I wanted to iron this so bad, I'm not a fan of the wrinkled look.
I didn't, or it wouldn't have been a good representation of the product for the display board.

The leaves are cut from Tranquil Tide a new In Color
that looks either green or blue tinged, depending what colors it is paired with.

The butterfly is 2 diecut layers of Powder Pink another new In Color
and sponged with Berry Burst ink.  Yes the butterfly diecuts are staying!

I caught a flu bug.  I really hate my immune system.  It's not doing it's job!  lol
Thankfully it didn't last more than 2 days.  It did put me behind in my promise to myself
to be more on track.  I have card classes this next week so I need to get moving
and get projects prepped.  I didn't want to do it feeling yucky and cover stuff with germs.
I do not want my customers sick!  I also had no strength to do much of anything.

More display stamper projects coming in the next week!

Cake Topper - Lovely Laurel Thinlits

I struggled with this product in my display stamper box.
It came in a bubble envelope with no paper work.
I wasn't sure how to put it together, it has slots and stuff.

It's really cool and makes a fantastic pop up card.
Which I saw the how-tos at Onstage, and will share that pop up card soon.

I found inspiration when looking at cakes, my secret pleasure,
I just love to look at wedding cake pictures.
I realized these would make a great cake topper idea.

So for that 25th Anniversary . . .

Close up view.
The banner and leaves are all part of the thinlits set.

and also the 50th wedding anniversary!

I used the Large Number Framelits for the years.

Glossy Cardstock will be back!

Long post, lots of pictures!
I'm saying up front, my ideas overall are simple and basic.
I used to do so much over the top stuff but found my customers didn't have time
to make these, with me or on their own.  So I have gone to doing mostly quick and cute,
(Emphasis on the cute!) for most of my projects.  Easier to prep for one thing!
I have several new customers that can easily make the cards and love the finished projects!
New stampers were usually overwhelmed by my past classes.

Starting with the new catalog in June you will be able to purchase Glossy Cardstock again!
Yeah!  I love techniques with Glossy cardstock!

I created an assortment of tags for my display board,
to feature techniques that work with glossy paper.

The Bubble Wrap Background is created by inking a sheet of bubble wrap
larger than your cardstock piece, with 2-3 ink colors then pressing it to the glossy cardstock.
The colors really pop on the glossy cardstock!
Inks: Soft Sky, Pool Party, and Dapper Denim
I work lightest to darkest when inking most anything.
Great technique for beginner stampers!

I omitted the metallic reinker in the directions.  After inking the piece of Glossy cardstock,
I cut the heart from Bloomin' Heart thinlits.
Then cut the butterfly from the Bold Butterfly framelits, from the heart shape.

Saran wrap Background - so easy, great for beginners!
Wad up a section of saran wrap.
Ink it up on the stamp pad.
Stamp lightly on your glossy paper.

Close up view of the textured look of the saran wrap stamping.

Versamark Resist and a new stamp set!
Loyal and True - 7 piece - Armed Forces stamp set
I combined 2 techniques here.  Versamark Resist and Baby Wipes
I stamped the soldier in Versamark, heat set the image with the heat gun.
Then using baby wipes folded over several times, I dotted the edge, with reinkers
in Real Red and Pacific Point.
I dragged the baby wipe over the Glossy Cardstock to create the waves.
I stamped the stars in Pacific Point and heat embossed the greeting in Silver.

Another new product!
Circle Tab Punch - It punches 2 joined circles with rectangle bases
that fold in half to create the tab.

Versamark Resist on this item also.

A pull up pocket card.  I cased the idea from Paper Pumpkin!

Available starting in June!
New! Glossy Cardstock
8-1/2" x 11"
Glossy finish on one side, matte
finish on the other. Lignin free.

March Stamp Buffet Cards

While you wait for us to be able to share new card samples.  . . .
Yes, we need to wait until 2:00pm somewhere today.
We are doing this so all demos attending events around the world
will not have the surprise at Onstage taken away.

I cans share last month's Stamp Buffet cards with you!
All of these were cased or inspired from Pinterest finds.
It was a very busy month!
I'm sharing who inspired me, if I have the original.

The Easter Cards
Sandi McIver created a card with a SAB set last year,
that I used for inspiration for the set - Little Cuties.

Wendy Lee created a card that grabbed my attention so fast, I didn't alter it.
Well I can't stamp straight like her, but otherwise!

I just bought this set and love the greeting in it.
I had this pack of this paper that wasn't even touched!
So much in my stamp space!

Love, love, love, this SAB set.
The little bird is from Birds & Blooms Thinlits Dies
Melissa Davies rubberfanatics.blogspot,com

Love the designer paper that coordinates with the Nailed It set.
This was an easy card, using the hexagon in the framelits to cut out the pieces.
Not sure if I cased this or altered it a lot!
It was the last card kit I put together, and it was late that night!
So it may be a combinations of ideas I looked at.
If it is your card idea, my gals loved it!  Easy and masculine.

I altered this card, the doily, greeting, and I did not have the leaf die she used.

This card I cased from a swap card, created by my friend Carolee.

My customers loved this card!  Each one looked different as they made them.
All the inking is done inside the folder, then embossed onto the cardstock!
Melissa Banbury

This was an inspired by card!  Love this set.

Onstage was this weekend!

Well, what a long break, bet you thought that virus I had, won the battle.
I beat it off, but got so very far behind, and then had an amazing offer that took a lot of time,
energy, and creativity,  I needed to step away from blogging for the past few months.
Thank you for the cards and emails sharing your thoughts for my well being,
all the positive energy you sent me to get better, did the trick!
I hope none of you got that Respiratory Virus, it was pure evil.  Took the fight right out of me.
I had it for 6 weeks, then a break, and again for a few more weeks.  bleh  That's enough
of being sick, injured feet, or any more surgeries.  What a year of medical bleh, it's been!

I am ready for amazing things to happen, and they are!
This past weekend was Stampin' Up's Onstage!
I attended the Minnesota Onstage Local Event with wonderful friends, old and new!
This is Carla, me, and Joyce!
All right, the gal who took our photo was comfy in a chair
and we didn't make her get up.  So we look a little off kilter.
Well maybe we three are a little off kilter.  lol
Two of the funniest, and fun to hang out with, ladies I met online, and in person at Onstage.

Though, they made me feel like the jolly green giant.

Beth, from their group, and I, won a NEW greeting set as part of Prize Patrol!
Coming home with new, free, stamp sets, is so great,
AND the new catalog!

One of the other amazing things that happened was I was chosen
to create display projects for the Onstage Event.

I received a box of product from Stampin' Up!,
several months ago, and kept it a secret!, for the catalog that starts in June.
I created close to 30 projects to feature the items I was given to work with.

I had to sign a confidentiality agreement.
I can't share until tomorrow!

Til then . . . .

More Dragonflies Dreams!

This is a watercolor paper card.
To create the background I inked the largest clear block with a Pool Party ink pad
and a Bermuda Bay marker.  After inking I spritzed the inked block (lots!)
then stamped on the watercolor paper.

I used the Bermuda Bay marker to create darker lines in the background.
It didn't really show.  Indigo Island might have been a better choice.  Since the Bermuda Bay
lines didn't show I stamped the corners with the dots stamp in Bermuda Bay.
The dragonflies are also stamped in Bermuda Bay and the wings are colored
with the Pool Party marker as the detail didn't always stamp completely on the watercolor paper.

Some stitched ribbon and sequins and the card is done.  The sequins are
from the Holiday mini, though retired, they are the perfect compliment to the card.
Layered on Pool Party for the card base.

Happy stamping!

Popped Up Hearts!

I layered hearts on the raised circles of the embossed area.
Tied a ribbon round the embossed layer.  Added a rhinestone to the one heart.
Simple but elegant.
There's a bit of silver ink on the raised circles here and there.
Not by design.
I have cleaned this folder repeatedly.  No more ink rubs off,
until I run it through the Big Shot.  lol

Still playing catch up after 2 weeks fighting that virus bug.
At least I am better!  Stay warm and healthy!

Happy stamping!
